We’re married!!!!! It will be a full week tomorrow and we couldn’t be loving life more. I’m so ready to share more and more details of our special day, but until then, you can see everything I’ve shared on my Instagram. I created a highlight in case you missed anything. Every detail of the day was so special and perfect. And we’re so grateful for everyone’s well wishes for our big day! Trust me, there will be a lotttt of posts coming all about the wedding.
Keep reading for my must-reads of the week, the best sales to shop, & a recap of anything you might have missed here on the blog!
It is Friday!!! And that means we’re just about a week away from our wedding, OMG. I can’t believe that we are almost there, but it also feels like FINALLY. I’m so ready to get on our with our life together and to move past the stress of wedding planning. This year has really been a doozy for us. The wedding… the kitchen… travel… it’s all just so much. After the wedding, our goals are to focus on simplifying, saving money, and slowing down.
YAY Friday! We have another weekend at home ahead of us. Mostly, we’re just working on a few projects that you’ll see soon on the blog. Plus, lots of wedding planning. It’s time for me to start the DIY projects I have planned for the big day. Be sure to follow my Instagram stories because I’ll be sharing peeks there. Also, would you be interested in seeing what I end up making for the wedding? Let me know and I can start working on a post! That’s pretty much what I’m up to this weekend… not very exciting.
Happy Friday! This week has been long and weird (that’s what she said?). I started off the week chipping one of my small, lower front teeth. I wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary — just eating an egg! So I’m waiting for my dentist appointment to fix that. Thankfully, it isn’t painful. Just more of an annoyance and one more thing I need to deal with before the wedding. Then, in case you missed my Instagram post, my favorite chicken unexpectedly died. That was really, really sad for me. It’s the first time one of our girls passed and it was really a shock. Aside from those 2 big things, I’ve just been totally overwhelmed by getting everything ready for the wedding, running my business, and trying to sleep. Do I sound like I’m over it? I kind of am…
Enough of my venting. Let’s get into our favorite reads of the week.
You guys, we made it. It is FRIDAY. Lately, it feels like I’ve been working 3 jobs: blogging, working on the Craftsman house project, and planning our wedding. If you have any tips on balancing ALL OF THE THINGS, please let me know… cuz I’m sort of losing it. In terms of wedding planning, I had to set some major boundaries recently. I’m thinking of writing a full post about it, to be honest. I know I can’t be the only one who is dealing with family drama and how that impacts a very personal, special day. So be sure to look for that for next week’s wellness series. Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend and let’s get to the must-reads for the week!
Remember when I used to pop in and share what’s inspiring me each week?? I’ve been missing The Friday Edit lately, so -boom- it’s back! Mostly, I’ve come to the realization more and more that I’m an obsessive sharer of information. What better way than to do a post every other week? I still want to share wellness-related posts as part of Weekend Wellness series, but I’m thinking they will alternate each week. What do you think? I’d love to know how you feel about this change in blog content.
Happy Friday! It’s been a big week here because of all the yardwork we’ve done, but also because it was our 3 year anniversary. It’s always so nice to take a moment to celebrate love and connection, even when you’re in the midst of a big project and totally stressed out. We didn’t make a big fuss about it. Instead, we ordered in a lot of delivery (with bubble tea) and stayed in. This weekend will bring a LOT more work for us, but we’re in the home stretch of the project. I think after this we deserve a longgg break from projects, don’t you think??
In case you missed it, here’s what we shared on the blog this week:
