Looking Back on Our First Year of Marriage

What I Learned from Our First Year of Marriage, a personal essay about the connection of being newly married, starting a new family, and building a new life together.

On Monday, Sean and I celebrated our first year of marriage and I have some feelings about it! Honestly, the first year passed incredibly quickly. Maybe because our first year of marriage included a global pandemic, my diagnosis with a rare genetic condition, and now us buying a new house together and moving… but I wanted to take some time to ‘put pen to paper’ and consider what this past year has meant for us as a couple.

Do the Work: Resources to Support the Black Lives Matter Movement

My friend Anne Sage is definitely one of those people. Over the course of our 4 year friendship, most of which has been carried out via text and FaceTime, we’ve each gone through a lot. Break ups, moves, career changes, pet adoption, being broke… so much. But no matter where we are in life, I know I can always rely on Anne for wit, wisdom, and wiener dog photos. With the help of PayPal, I’m sharing a few of my favorite memories of my friendship with Anne to celebrate friendship, plus the details of the fun new PayPal digital gifting cards (aka the best way to surprise a friend with a treat)!
