I’m so excited to share my next Seattle neighborhood guide to Fremont! This neighborhood is very close to mine (Ballard), but a totally different vibe. It’s quirky, artsy, and a bit bohemian. After all, Fremont has a welcome sign that says it’s the center of the universe! Let’s dig in:Continue reading “Seattle Neighborhood Travel Guide: Fremont Edition”

In this digital age, it’s really easy to get home decor ideas online, but to me, nothing beats an in-person experience. I love traveling for inspiration, wandering local boutiques, and perusing magazines. Anything that is hands on usually equals lots of inspiration for me! Next week I am excited to attend my first ever Seattle Home Show to get even more inspiration for our tiny bungalow and additional interior design projects!Continue reading “Get Inspired at The Seattle Home Show”

Being a blogger has brought me so many incredible opportunities, especially now that we’re getting married. A great example is when Seattle-based bakery Trophy Cupcakes reached out to be part of our big day! We’re lucky enough that they are going to provide the desserts for our wedding — YUM. After calming down from the excitement of receiving that email, I realized we needed to set up a wedding cake tasting session! Then I realized I had no idea what we were doing… so I did some research and wanted to share some cake tasting tips for the future brides and grooms out there.Continue reading “Wedding Cake Tasting Tips”

See you tomorrow.
I’ve gone back and forth a bit on whether I want to do neighborhood-specific travel guides for Seattle. Lately, I’ve gotten asked a TON for recommendations though, so here we go! The Emerald City has manyyy incredible neighborhoods, but I wanted to start with the one I call home: Ballard. There’s so much to share about this awesome corner of Seattle… so let’s dig in!Continue reading “Seattle Neighborhood Travel Guide: Ballard Edition”
This year was my second in a row of traveling to Italy, but my first time teaching a styling workshop there! I’ve shared lots of info in the past about the Style Your Life workshop that I co-taught with food stylist Maren Ellingboe King and Sarah Abare of The Stemmery. After being back for just over 2 weeks, I have mentally processed everything from the trip and wanted to offer you a glimpse into it! At the very least, this post will probably inspire a bit of Italian wanderlust, too.Continue reading “Style Your Life Retreat & Styling Workshop recap”
Jet lag… woof. When I got back from Italy last week, I felt like I’d been run over by a bus. Not only did I catch a cold while I was there, but my return trip ended up taking about 20 hours. When I got home, allllll I wanted to do was sleep, despite knowing that the best way to cure jet lag is to simply stay awake until it’s a normal bedtime in the new timezone. But with a cold? Yeah, that didn’t happen. So last week, I experimented and found a few tips that I wanted to share with you in case you’ve got any summer travel plans coming up!Continue reading “5 Ways to Get Over Jet Lag That Actually Worked for Me”
