I personally love this soup recipe because it’s a hardy enough to be a lunch, but also pairs well with grilled cheese. I really cannot tell you how GOOD the broth is in this recipe… probably thanks to the browned bits of sausage that were cooked with the butter and onions!
If I had to eat one soup recipe for the rest of my life, it’s this one. Not only is it the ultimate comfort food, it is packed with good stuff including shredded chicken and carrots.
While the pumpkin bowl is optional, it definitely brings a festive touch to the soup which makes it a lovely addition to your Thanksgiving meal spread.
