Cranberry Vanilla Bean Virgin Cosmopolitan

This alcohol-free twist on the classic Cosmo is updated with a hint of vanilla bean.

Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean pod split

Virgin Cosmopolitan

  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • sparkling mineral water
  • 1 lime for garnish


Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup

  • Using a paring knife, split the vanilla bean down the middle.
  • Combine water, sugar, and vanilla bean halves into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and remove from heat. Let cool for at least an hour before using.

Virgin Cosmopolitan

  • Fill half of a cocktail shaker with ice, then add cranberry juice, orange juice, lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of the cooled vanilla bean simple syrup.
  • Cover with the lid and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. Strain into martini glasses about an inch from the top.
  • Top each glass with a splash of sparkling mineral water and garnish with a lime twist.


Store the vanilla bean syrup for up to a month in an air-tight container in the fridge, leaving the pods in the mixture.
Chill the martini glasses in the freezer for at least 30 minutes prior to serving.
