what to wear // distressed white denim

It’s been hot here in Norcal, something that I’ve heard is not exactly the norm. I have to admit, I’ve been loving it. It’s a great time to break out the flowy dresses and sandals. But my skin tone isn’t exactly ready to be exposed to the world just yet. Let’s just say that I’m a lovely shade of ghostly… That being said, I’ve been rocking lots of distressed denim… think of it as pants with built in ventilation. To veer in a more summery direction though, I’ve been feeling super faded washes or a true bright white, like these perfectly slouchy beauties from Ayr. The slouchy boyfriend silhouette is a constant favorite of mine, but white makes them see a bit preppy… well, as preppy as I get!

I just love the simplicity of these. Just enough distressing, perfectly bright white, and a slouchy silhouette that’s still flattering.

Another style I’m digging are these NSF jeans on Shopbop. The railroad pattern is sun-faded and shredded, making them feel lived in and totally casual.

This super-distressed pair from Urban Outfitters is another good bet for a really hot day.
