It’s time for the main event: our Thanksgiving tablescape! Ever since chatting with Sarah about the centerpiece and how it was inspired by our cheese board, all I could think about was incorporating shades of mauve, blush, and rose into the table settings for my Thanksgiving spread. More than anything, I wanted to surprise my guests with a totally unexpected, whimsical table this year!

Right away, I knew I wanted to avoid the traditional Thanksgiving color palette of plum, burgundy, and gold. Don’t get me wrong. Those hues are absolutely gorgeous. However, I wanted this year’s table to have a touch of whimsy. To me, layers of pink really help to achieve that aesthetic in a very soft, pretty and romantic kind of way.

I am still so in love with my ‘adult’ dinnerware and decided to simply layer these stunning canape plates on top to fancy them up a bit for the holiday. I love that they were designed by my good friend Lindsay, the ceramicist behind Suite One Studio. The pop of gold is a really lovely touch as well.

How darling are these napkin rings?? As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to get them. I don’t like to go too traditional with my holiday decor, but this one little touch is absolutely perfect. These pale blush linen napkins are what actually inspired the entire tablescape, if you can believe it. I fell in love with the color that is more like a whisper of pink than anything else.

The holidays are the perfect time to layer on the bling, so I added gold and white utensils plus these suuuper delicate stemmed wineglasses. I absolutely adore the addition of the translucent pink to this tablescape. I also kept simple rocks glasses on hand in case my guests didn’t want wine and preferred a cocktail instead.

I am sooo happy with how the table turned out. It’s the perfect balance of casual and elevated, traditional and non-traditional.
