The Mason Collection by Rebecca Atwood

A good friend of mine, a real artist, and a truly great person, Rebecca Atwood is one of my favorite textile designers. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of her collection and, believe me, I’ve been waiting with bated breath to share. The Mason Collection launches today and chock full of quintessential Rebecca Atwood — shibori dyed fabrics, hand drawn stripes and dots, and painterly motifs layered together to create a rich, yet relaxed assortment. The collection is inspired by “the lengthening shadows ad the stormy days off-season on the Cape” in Rebecca’s words. Rebecca also draws tons of inspiration from her personal history. In fact, the name Mason is a family name and means ‘stone worker.’ It seems like Rebecca comes from a long line of kindred makers, don’t you think?

This might be my favorite vignette from Rebecca’s lookbook. That rich hunter green velvet armchair is REALLY calling my name. Maybe the apartment needs one, bedecked in Rebecca’s incredible patchworked pillows…
