While I absolutely love sharing fashion trends here on the blog (especially with my background as a product designer!), I am leaning more and more toward sustainable style. The root of this was started when I began my No Shopping challenge last year. I became more and more aware of the waste within the fashion industry. This then led me down the rabbit hole of ethical fashion brands — there are SO many amazing ones out there now! Here are 5 that I am loving right now:

Looking for Stylish Ethical Fashion Brands? Check Out These 5 Companies!
MATE
I first discovered MATE on Instagram via an ad. I was really enamored right away with their quality made basics, cute graphic tees, and comfy loungewear. MATE was founded in 2013 in Los Angeles. Simply put, it’s a collection of elevated essentials and vintage inspired graphics that embody the California-cool lifestyle. Everything is made in a factory within a 5 mile radius of their Arts District Headquarters in DTL.
A few of my fave styles:

Everlane
Everlane is a tried and true favorite of mine when it comes to ethical fashion brands. After all, I think they were the forefathers of the ‘transparent pricing’ initiative. Personally, I love shopping for basics, sweaters, and denim from this company. Everything is really well made, fits well, and not too expensive. Additionally, I’ve noticed that everything I’ve bought from Everlane lasts a long time, especially the sweaters. They just pick really great fabrics! I also love that they are becoming more inclusive and showing their fit on different body types.
A few new arrivals that I’m eyeing:
- the link-stitch crewneck sweater
- the silk square muscle top
- the editor slingback
- the cheeky bootcut jean

Amour Vert
When I lived in San Francisco, there was an Amour Vert shop in my neighborhood. I always loved to walk by and check out the bright, colorful pieces. Now there’s one in Seattle and I love seeing how their style has evolved! There are some beautiful casual tops, dresses, and sweaters that I’m really loving. Plus, I’ve heard that the quality is really great. I might invest in a few pieces this fall.
A few favorites:

Jenni Kayne
Oh, Jenni Kayne… a BIG favorite of mine. I absolutely adore the overall lifestyle aesthetic of this brand and want every single piece they sell! I will warn you, that the price points are a bit higher than the rest of this list, but the quality is so astounding.
My wishlist:

Reformation
If you’re looking for a sustainable clothing brand that is more trend driven, look no further than Reformation. This brand features some beautifully cut silhouettes for dresses, pretty prints, and fun shoes. I have heard that the sizing can be hit or miss, so just be aware of that when shopping.
