It’s week 2 of the One Room Challenge and I am ready for a change — a color change to be exact! This week I demo-ed the bathroom, removing all sorts of dated, ugly things. I discovered a few ‘treasures’ along the way, like lots of random wiring behind the mirror and about a million tiny nail holes on the bathroom door behind yet another mirror. So, armed with some spackle, I repaired the walls and tackled the boring paint color this week (check out the before photos here).
The color I chose is called Teresa’s Green from Farrow & Ball and I am freaking obsessed. Now that the walls are covered in this minty, fresh shade of greenish aqua, the bathroom already feels like a wayyy happier place. Are you familiar with Farrow & Ball? I’ve always loved them for their amazing range of colors, but they also make gorgeous wallpapers (this one has been speaking to me in a big way). I only wish I could wallpaper my bathroom, but I think that would have been a tough sell for my landlord.
Doesn’t it already feel more open and airy and (dare I say) spa-like??
It kills me when trim isn’t white, so clearly the grey-ish taupe colored trim HAD to be re-painted, too. There’s just something about white trim that makes me feel like a space is finished and tidy. I went with All White.
While we’re talking about the walls, I wanted to share a peek of what is potentially my absolute favorite addition to the loft bathroom: this amazing mirror from Basset Mirror. I wanted something to make a statement and the Myrna mirrow realllllly does that, don’t you think?
When shopping for mirrors, I swear I looked at approximately 856 options. This one feels bohemian with it’s gorgeous curves, but also very modern thanks to the sleek white frame. I absolutely adore the impact of the piece in my space and how it pops against the mint walls. As I select lighting fixtures, this mirror will provide tons of inspiration.
I’m still deciding whether to mount the mirror on the wall or to leave it leaning against the wall. I like the latter look because it feels a bit more boho, but I’ve noticed that the water from the sink splashes it wayyy more like this. What do you guys think: leaning or wall-mounted mirror??

The color looks great with the brick! As far as hanging the mirror I vote hang…..because it will always look messy with the water stains and who wants to be a slave to that!
Love the color! The mirror is perfect too!
