my new favorite source for affordable glasses

With all of my travels over the past few weeks, it’s a wonder my head is still attached to my body. To say I’ve gotten a bit disorganized is an understatement. I’m usually sliiightly scatterbrained, but throw in travel and jet lag… and, well, I’m a hot mess. Case in point: during my recent 10-day trip to the east coast, I forgot to pack a pair of glasses! This means that not only did I forget to wear glasses to the airport (thankfully, I didn’t drive myself there), but I also walked around without glasses on for a full day before I realized what was missing.

Oops. Let’s just say that I was more than grateful when Zenni reached out to partner on a post because I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to remedy my mistake, try out some new frames, and share an awesome eyewear resource with you guys!

If you’ve never heard of Zenni, prepare to be wowed…

Not only do they offer the largest selection of glasses I have ever seen, but they also have incredibly affordable prices. For example, the two frames I ordered, the Browline Glasses and the Glossy Tortoiseshell Round Glasses, are $15.95 and $9.99 respectively. Quite frankly, I was worried about the sturdiness of the frames when I saw this pricing, but after receiving them I can attest to the great quality of the materials. These frames feel so much sturdier than my old pair while also feeling more lightweight. Magic!

The shopping process was quite easy:

I simply called my eye doctor in Seattle and got my prescription (including the Pupillary Distance) over the phone. My best friend, Danielle, and I had a blast sifting through the various options and even putting them on a picture of me to see how they’d fit before I ordered. Both of us were totally bowled over by the number of options while I was shopping. Because I was traveling, I placed my order with the express shipping option. Even though the shipping was a bit more expensive, I was still able to get TWO pairs of stylish glasses for less than $100. How amazing is that??

I ultimately couldn’t decide on just one pair.

So I splurged on two classic looks that will look great with a variety of outfits — even when I get back to Seattle. Plus, with such affordable prices, I can have a pair for pretty much every day of the week. Not gonna lie, now I am super tempted to get a few more pairs for fun.

In terms of the frames I chose, The Browline Glasses felt more like a pair I’d wear while working, so I added a UV+ Blue Blocker lens. I’m happy to report that my headaches have dissipated quite a bit since starting to wear them while working at my computer. As a creative, maintaining my eye health is of utmost importance to me, so I was really happy to see that Zenni offered this option.

I was so excited to get my new glasses, I couldn’t help but get Danielle’s pup, Hudson, in on the action! Isn’t he so handsome?
