festive holiday pajamas for Christmas morning

Wearing cute, festive holiday pajamas on Christmas morning is one holiday tradition that I still love, even as an adult!

Does your household wear matching holiday pajamas on Christmas morning? If there is one holiday tradition that I still love as an adult, this is it. As a kid, my and mom would splurge on pjs just for this occasion. Usually the pajamas were matching, but sometimes not… mostly they were just really cute pjs with a holiday spin to them! And, while this goes against everything my reduced waste, minimalist brain believes in… sometimes you just really want festive pjs, amiright??

I like to keep this tradition alive despite usually being the only one in Christmas-themed loungewear. Sean just isn’t into it (more on that here), as much as I’ve pushed. But that’s ok! And also… sometimes the dogs end up wearing sweater which is basically the next best thing.

I tend to like matching holiday pajamas, like a set of thermal leggings with a coordinating top. Something about this combo makes me feel like an elf, ready to pass out presents.

If you’re more into neutral, you could also go for a chic holiday vibe with either of these pajama sets. I love that the holiday print is a bit more subtle because it’s on a white or ivory background. Plus, flannel is always a good idea. I’m also a fan of pajama sets because you can break up the set and wear the bottoms with a cute tee or vice versa. And, let’s be real here, if you’re like me, you’ll probably end up wearing your holiday pajamas even when it’s not Christmastime.

Or you could go old school and opt for a holiday nightgown! This one has an updated, modern silhouette and could easily be layered over cute leggings, too. You could also add a cozy robe on top in case you get cold. I’m always a bit chilly, so that’s my go-to when hanging around in my loungewear!

So, tell me: do you and your family sport matching holiday pajamas all day on Christmas? Which ones are your favorite?
