While I absolutely love styling a table with flowers, sometimes I can’t make it to the flower market. Or I find that I want to have a centerpiece for a few days, rather than just one evening for a dinner party. I usually decide to forgo the flowers and instead create a centerpiece that showcases the warm glow of pillar candles and tealights. Recently I put together this centerpiece and added a few more special touches: moss, crystals, and one amazing, oversized geode. The result is pure twinkly magic.

How To Create This Easy Mossy Candlelight Centerpiece with Crystals | DIY
To start, I placed a natural grapevine wreath at the center of my table and then put simple white pillar candles on marble coasters (to protect my table!). I love the natural pop of green that the moss gives the arrangement. The texture is quite nice, too.

I wanted the centerpiece to be extra glowy, magical, and sparkly, so I layered in crystals and one enormous geode. I even added a tealight to the center of the geode. The candlelight looks so amazing reflecting off of all the facets.

I added natural linen ribbon for a little bit more texture (read: fire hazard?) and then lit the candles. Pretty easy, huh. I love the warm glow of candles so much!

When I’m hosting, I’d set this centerpiece and keep the rest of my tablesetting pretty simple and sophisticated.

I’ve kept this centerpiece in my home for about a week now and I just keep lighting the candles even if it’s just the two of us for dinner. It makes heating up leftovers a little bit more of an occasion during these very hectic days.

Sources: natural grapevine wreath, white pillar candles, marble coasters, faux moss, selenite tealight holders, crystals and geode from NW Crystal, and natural linen ribbon.

Oh this is beautiful!! It looks so magical with the contrast of the moss and crystals. Love!
thanks so much, Marlene!
I simply adore you for this DIY! First because i share the same obsession with crystals, and second because i have this centre piece on our coffee table with just a plate and a candle and never thought to put some crystals in there! Brings out the magic in the whole room! Thanks girl!
So glad you like it! I’d love to see a photo once you add crystals ;)
