Happy birthday! I relate to everything you said about wanting practical things for the house! For sleep issues I would recommend the podcast Sleep With Me. It’s basically an hour long bedtime story meant to drown out the thoughts in your head and bore you to sleep. Works wonders for me!

First off, happy birthday! I totally know what you mean in how you are feeling, I don’t think its boring at all – you’ll just save up for a bigger trip later this year – also I’ve always been about practical gifts – last year I asked for glass Tupperware cause that’s what i really wanted :P
