My trip recap to Venice Beach is still in the works, but I wanted to share an experience I had while wandering Abbott Kinney: the Le Labo shop. My very first job ever after college was designing packaging for candles, so I’m pretty well-versed in Le Labo’s incredible candles and fragrances. What I wasn’t prepared for, however, was the total WOW experience of being in the physical store. This boutique had all the makings of that modern day apothecary feel: amber tinted glass, black details, and gooorgeous labels. The shop itself is pretty cool: the bar in the front is a great place to customize your own scent, while the back has much more of a lounge vibe.
For those not versed in Le Labo, they stand for ‘soulful fragrances’ and the power of the handmade. In fact, all candles are hand-poured, all of the fragrances are hand-formulated, and even the roses are hand-picked.
Plus, the store has it’s very own (and free) photobooth! My friend and I had a blast taking advantage of this find. Noodle even got a few shots.
If you’re headed to Venice Beach, be sure to check out the shop at 1138 Abbott Kinney Blvd.
